    Right. I understand you.

I tell you what. All of this story telling ends tonight. If I find something interesting by way of a topic it will be a yes or no.

As far as I am concerned I am finsihed here. It is bad enough that people want to make trouble and it serves no one. I am not in the mood tonight to deal with it and will not.

But you sir, have been more than honest. THAT I can respect. I'll think about it a while.

I already know I don't do politics, passworded sections or anything related to parts of the forums that lead no where excepting more trouble all around. Ive already made the decision that it will either be a yes or no and that will be that. Any explaination being sought by the poor newbie asking a given question will just have to google it themselves.

It's a shame too. I'll sleep on this tonight. And carefully consider any further participation in TTR. I am not to be treated as a toy, trolled or otherwise told that whatever I care to share is BS. Keep in mind I have said over and over that sometimes I tell stories which is just that lunch counter and will put it down.

When something goes down in life and I write about it the way it did, sometimes people do not believe it. That's fine. I dont care about that. What I do care about is when people reply and say bad things in a open forum destroying a topic that is simple and way beyond necessary.

After tonight I probably will not be around. And for those of you wanting to reply don't let the door hit and so forth with all the tired insults and worn out memes save it.

This industry is not doing well. And that's the end of it.

I'm not an admin, however I do volunteer my time as an admin on some other forums and several Facebook Groups. Somebody bothering you, you don't like their tones or simply tired of what you deem to be lies. Honestly just go to the left look under their photo and click on their name. Another menu will appear and on the right side of that menu in light blue color text is a clickable button named ignore. Hit that button and you will never see their texts again. Even if another member quotes them. If a member has crossed the line or posted something improper you will see a blue report button next to the blue triangle. Hit that button and type the problem. The admins here are generally quick to fix these issues. Then later when the situation has cooled a bit repeat the process and un ignore them.

People on here are so super serious sometimes. It's unfortunate. Actually, truck drivers in general are far too serious and with such heavy convictions. Chill it out bro, lifes too short.

I think that it would be most unfortunate for you to leave entirely.

Again, I sincerely hope that you stick around, and start a thread - like Mike’s ongoing story/diary thread.

That would be a good way to interact, and I think the naysayers would probably leave it alone as well.

If you don’t like what you read, buzz off, sort of deal.

I know I would be more than interested in reading your posts, in that setting, where I think the tone would probably come across totally different.

I remember you as one of the few that posted in my initial introduction thread, and you were helpful - so don’t forget that as well.

Hopefully you’ll not take what I’ve said personally, but give it some serious thought.

Your story telling is entertaining and those of us who have been around a while usually know when you're spinning another of your tall tales.
The newbies don't. They have no way of knowing if you're giving good advice or if you're just wandering off through some kind of drug induced mental fantasy-land. You do that a lot. Your tall tales might be taken to heart by some rookie and if he followed your advice he might wind up getting hurt. Or worse. I doubt that would be your intention but it could happen.
Save all the hero stories for some other part of the forum
If you can help some of the rookies with direct and factual advice that's great. Otherwise you're just making things worse.

The ugliness is in society in general as it breaks down. It's not limited to truck stops.

OTR is very stressful with minimum legal rest. Half of drivers, or more, have less than 2 years experience and no interest in doing anything but the most selfish, least considerate way to operate their truck, regardless of how it makes life hard gor every other truck driver.

When you feel thevworld is treating you like a stray dog it's easy to have no regard for others and little self-respect. I'm small. I never have problems at truck stops. I treat everyone with respect in person, but mostly I avoid personal interaction. You can find trouble if you look for it. Don't look for trouble. Not EVERYONE is a new best friend you haven't met before. It stopped being a fraternity probably 30 years ago.

@x1Heavy Remember the first rule of the internet is this..

Far as the world being ugly...ugly is as ugly does. Triple6 had it right. Ugly finds ugly. You find what you seek. If all you look for is misery, trouble, negativity, etc that's all you will find. I ain't saying the world is all Unicorns, rainbows an skittles, cause it's not...but ####, take a break from being miserable people. It's seen here daily an many other forums.

someone on the internet judging me doesn't matter. Only one judge I'm worried about an he's not walking this ball of dirt.

I'd rather view the glass half full vs half empty. An save the "Well it's fact the world sucks now". Reality is, that's your opinion. Everything is better with rose colored glasses on, including the past. ;)

Point is...if you live your life being negative. Don't be surprised when you attract the same. You reap what you sow, whether it's violence, hate, etc.

Sirscrapntruckalot - oh no, the sky! It's falling! - A negative Nancy somewhere right now.

Why are you letting others dictate to you? If they don't want to read you all they have to do is hit ignore.
