Last Friday I went with the old man on 3 stop NYC run with Raymond fork trucks, 1 in Brooklyn and 2 in the Bronx. Last stop was in the market. My 1st time actually going in the market, been around the area many times when I was doing food service but never set foot in their til last wk.
Man what a dirty ####hole that place is. Counted like 4 reefers that deff hit a low bridge, most of the equipment there doesn't even look road worthy let alone be able to get down to 0 degrees. I feel for you guys that go there on a regular basis. The last time my dad was there was the early 80 with a load of melons.
Who's been to hunts point lately?

Used to go weekly in 2012 wasn’t too bad, not like it used to be for sure

Ever see how they "sanitize" it at about 4 pm daily?...
Drag all the trailers out of the doors to the middle of the yard, huge front end loader scrapes the ground puts it all in a dumpster. That's why if you watch anyone on the dock the garbage just gets thrown down beside the trailers...
Wait til summer when it's hot and stuff rots and stinks way faster...Lepton1, Jazz1 and motocross25 Thank this. -
Only way id run in there consistently was if it paid something outrageous. Syracuse ny to the city with 3 stops paid 1350 after carrier's cut with a dry box. 6 forklifts total in n out of each stop in 20 min

The last time in the my dad was there in early 80s he had a load of melons, floor loaded on top of hay. My dad back in the dad his own truck and wagon he would lump his own produce screw paying a lumper. Anyways they started giving him a hard time saying for not wanting a lumper. He pulled up from the dock shut the doors was getting ready to sell em on the st then they finally got the message he was unloading it. Way back when trip leasing was a thing. Southeast Michigan brokerage I think
