Beef over a Slim Jim prompts gas station owner to shoot customer

You're the one who is projecting bias with no proof. There is no evidence from the two articles that the item was rung up.
How often do you steel stuff and get violent when confronted o ti?

Now I will admit I am assuming, but I have experience in working in a gas station and this happened to me frequently. Although a holler to pay the full amount the customer would come back and pay it. Most of the time they were simply shocked at the inflated price of gas stations....
What likely happened is the thief took the product, laid a dollar on the counter and walked out. When confronted by the owner, the thief assaulted (pushed) the owner. The owner then protected himself from assault. The theft was a side issue that makes it sound like the owner will shoot anyone who steals $2 from him, while in reality he was simply protecting himself from assault.

 

I checked the address. For those familiar with Houston,it's four or five exits South of Gunspoint.
