I did fairly well there. EXCEPT... They have some Dupont dedicated runs. There are some guys there stupid enough to want these, but sometimes you get forced out on one. They go out and right back with dirty tank to same customer, drop tank for re-use. Only trouble is they are way too cheap. For a year I only hauled one or two of these "donationloads" a month. Then in one month I was forced out on three. I pulled signs.

Haz, yes, but when I was there they would train on pump off etc so you could operate the tank. They also give a haz refresher during orientation. Google "miller transporters" get the 800#. When I hired on I called with a long list of questions and they were very good with answers. Things could've changed since May 06.

Miller Transporters now require you to have 24 months exp. I believe you also need to be 23.

Yes it was 23 when I was there. You also had to have truck exp but it didn't have to be on a tanker. Did you call and ask them?

Opened their recruiting site in another tab. 23 or 21 if married. 2 years exp, doesn't say it has to be tank.

They are also union truck company. I live very close to jackson ms terminal. I spoke with a driver once he told me they were very good. He said if you wanted to sleep in a hotel room they'd pay for it. Also said they're good on hometime. My only problem is i am not 23 and i only have 1 year exp. They do require tanker and hazmat endorsements and 2 years exp the guy i talked to didnt mention anything about it being tanker exp.
