These systems ask me if I am elog compliant and they only give you a yes or no option followed by choices of which authorized elog you use. They do not give a option for compliant due to age of truck or any of the known exemptions. What gives?

But then if you choose yes it forces you to a drop down menu and you are forced to choose which approved elog you are using.

i'd just choose one. if they think they need access to the device move on. this is an rmis thing, the individual brokers won't ask in general. rmis is a centralized system for registering with brokers,as im sure you know.

RMIS has another annoyance.....when you submit your W9 you have to put your company name on the first line. Improper or not. That is how the IRS reads it and OK's it in the RMIS system. But no one tells you this until after you have submitted it and it has been denied. So 1 hour later you are still dealing with a W9 for a new (to you) broker while saying no to loads because you about to get this one (maybe).

All of this for the most simple form and really the most insignificant thing as far as all of the other ducks we have to have in a row.

I like small brokerages that do things fast and accurate with ZERO middle men or 3rd party companies.

I won't even put tracking apps on my phone. I just tell them I have a flip phone and they can call me anytime.

What is the RMIS? I do like those brokerages who have a straight forward, 3 page carrier packet.

Yes tax ID. They are all nice once setup. I am just annoyed by the complete lack of the understanding of exemptions by a company that should know what they are doing.
