    I work in sales for a Volvo, Mack dealership. First of all sales tax is all ways collected by the selling dealership. Just like buying a pack of gum at the store.
    In most cases, sales tax is not required if you have an MC number or are leasing on with a company with an MC number. In the few cases where the customer does not have an MC number (hauls only in state) and they are purchasing a truck or trailer in or out of the state they reside sales tax is due and is collected at the time of sale no matter if you pay cash or finance. If the unit is financed with a reputable commercial finance company they require us to overnight the Bill of Sale, title and any additional documents to the customer's local DMV. This is done mainly to cover the finance company ### and make sure a lien gets noted on the title.
    Hope this helps anyone interested.

    Figured I'd give an update. After purchasing my truck in November 2016 I was constantly broke down. Nothing typical maintenance would solve. Wiring went out I lost my throttle coming down a mountain, numerous after treatment failures, injectors, turbo, transmission the truck was constantly in the shop 4-5 weeks at a time. The last issue was August 2017 I dropped 2 injectors and after treatment issues. I had to rebake DPF filter after only putting 30k on the truck. The shop replaced the 2 failed injectors the rest were testing on the low side but still within spec. After fighting with warranty finally started rolling. Within a week of being out kept making me do force regens and blowing blue smoke. I went through $1100 in fuel going from NV to WA with a empty trailer. I went to speedco did a oil samples tested high with heavy metals previous oil samples showed the engine was overheated and overrevved comfirming hard codes in ECM. This September I returned their truck to Houston Texas and now they are reporting on my credit involuntary surrender. When I purchased the truck they never reported to credit and also their selling point was you own the truck. None of this is true. That truck not having any repairs done was resold to another driver within a week. The original owner sold it because of issues the guy prior to me leased to landstar was having issues so surrendered the truck I had issues and gaurantee the next guy will have issues. I had the truck 10.5 months and only was able to put 35k on it less than 4k a month because of the constant break downs. They told me they were gonna cover repairs yet when the bill came they declined it. I didn't even make it 2 weeks without issues. Bringing it home the heat went out cab and bunk, the 1st load After treatment failures 2nd load same thing. Huge $1500 tow bills. I'd stay far away if WTF is selling the truck. MHC Kenworth uses WTF I'd trust equipment from them but not directly from WTF and their backyard mechanics in Houston and Dallas

    Please everyone. Do not do business with wholesale. Truck in the shop for two weeks find out they have to rebuild motor. 35k is the price
    By this point im roughly 26 days late on my truck payment I notified them and said this is it i can make the payment until truck is out can you charge the late fee. I will catch up sent in all repair paper work with prices and the estimate. Informed them im sorry but i really need every penny i have to pay for the motor. In order to stay in business for the long run
    Long story short wholesale still wants to repo my truck thats in the shop with no motor over a monthly payment of $2,000 !!!
    Wow your rather take a truck with no motor over
    Basically being a month late and you know why
    Than make the 70k in the long run
    Guys stay away from them. Mind you i bought a truck from there houston location prior to this one that stayed broke didnt run a month before needing 5k worth of repairs took a lost and traded that for a truck that ran 2 years i been paying them never missed a payment major breakdown and they say #### you we dont care if you going to fix it we want our broken truck back to screw some one else

    Thought that I would add my 2 cents worth to the thread to give a different point of view towards Wholesale Truck. I found my own truck that I wanted to purchase in May 2016, looked at different financing options and seemed that all anybody wanted to do was lease me a vehicle. The Kenworth dealer that I had originally responded to suggested that I speak with Wholesale Truck and listen to their leasing option. I really wasn't interested in leasing as I had read all of the negative posts on here about the "Fleece Purchase" companies but decided to listen anyways. I decided after speaking with them to go through with the leasing option as it wasn't the normal lease deal as I had found my own vehicle, inspected it on my own, etc...I thought that it would be a quicker way to get into the truck that I had chosen as it had everything that I personally wanted in it. Long story short, I got into a 2011 Kenworth T700 through Kenworth MHC that had 537000 miles when I drove it off the lot. I have had a number of issues at different times with the truck that has had it off the road, as well as 2 times for up to 3 weeks or so. Both times that the truck was down for extended periods of time Wholesale Truck offered to me the opportunity to defer my upcoming payments as I was struggling to pay for the repairs and trying to be certain that my payments would be made. Seems like both times coincided with my quarterly tax payment so money was a bit tighter when this occurred. The 1st time this happened, I spoke with Wholesale about deferral and the 2nd time they called me after they saw that I was speaking with their online rep about another vehicle and he told them why I was looking at a different truck. I was shocked when they reached out to me as I had not reached out to them for another deferral. I personally don't have anything bad that I will pile onto them. I do not have anything bad that I can offer here, but I think that there are typically 2 sides to everything that we see and hear on this site. That doesn't mean that all of the bad stuff that is on here is incorrect but I do know that at one point in the past there was a major shake up within the ranks at Wholesale and they have said that old business practices would no longer be acceptable and that they were attempting to resolve some of their perceived problems. I personally am Very Happy with the way in which I have been and continue to be treated. I hope that you each take the time to do your own research and not just take for granted that what we read is all true.

    @romexjockey

    Do you have a websight link to look at? How much did you have to put down and what's the monthly payments.

    I'm starting to contemplate lone mountain. I have the down payment and i can afford the monthly payments on what i make now. If i were to stay a company man which obviously wouldn't happen. But i'm looking for a drop axle preferably and with a pump. I"m thinking i want to stay tanker hauler.

    I believe that their website is WTFTrucks.com I originally put down $6000 on a 42 month lease and payments are just under $1600 month. At the end of the lease I have a buyout clause of $6700 which I will forgo now because of the issues that I have had with the vehicle. None of which are the fault of Wholesale Truck. I personally agree with the posts that I have seen about a lot of the trucks that I see on the WTF site, most of them appear to be Very Well worn in and typically higher mileage and all seem to be in the same payment range of $1400-$1900 mth. I don't know if I would personally purchase one of the trucks on their site, as I did find this vehicle during my own search and the KW Dealer that I responded to is the one who made the suggestion that I speak with Wholesale Truck and Wholesale convinced me to lease the truck through them. Asentium Capitol is the in house lender for Wholesale Truck. I originally looked at Lone Mountain and found them to be overpriced as well but Much harder to work with in leasing the truck. They also wanted me to buy one of their trucks rather than the way that I found my truck. Hopefully, you will find some use in my response to you. As everybody on here says constantly please do your own self justice and do your research, don't take somebody elses word for it as it is you who must deal with the results of your actions, whether they work out for the best or not, as it seems that a lot of them do. Good Luck with your search!
