Excuse the rambling but I need help...

2 weeks ago I did my pm and 90 day inspection at a shop I go to...i fixed any leaks any air leaks and everything...spent $2300. Shop told me I need a 1 box also. I got the truck 10 months ago..have a warranty which save my butt... and took it to freightliner to fix. $11,000 for 1 box and #6 fuel injector issue. Truck was there a week. Picked the truck up and it was running fine.

    Now to the issues:

I noticed a small oil leak. Pan was wet but oil running from a location somewhere by the dipstip. I took it back to the original place that fixed the leaks. I fogot what location they told me it was from....but they basically said "we'll seal it again...and have you out of hear in 1 hour."

3 hours go by...they told me that they pressure washed it and something electrical screwed up...throwing a bunch of codes. Had to leave the truck there. They called and told me that the wiring under the fuel rail was bad...so they replaced the fuel rail and sensors. Still throwing codes...said they sprayed ether...still workin on it.

I picked the truck up friday evening...they told me codes cleared...and that Im gonna need a fuel pump because on the regen they did, the rpms were jumping, which sound odd to me. I had 3 diagnoses done prior to the pm and 1 box getting done...no mention of fuel pump.

10 seconds into the drive, the truck is running different than when I took it there...no lights or codes, just slightly running like lost of power when Im accelerating, and when idling...the rpm is jumping from 5 to 8 every 3 seconds. Also...the air dryer has a leak...its not purging at 120 or so psi...there's air comming from the bottom of air dryer. Air builds up to 160 from start up and makes with no purge...2 min into the drive both gauges show different readings. Had none of these issues prior to them telling me they screwed something up from a pressure wash. Air dryer was replaced by them 4 months ago.

Since this company is closed on the weekends...i had to take it to freightliner to run test. Told them my issues...i didnt mention me taking it to tbe other place. Freightliner ran all test necessary, did an hour regen....found no issues, codes or anything popping up. They said no issues on loss of power check also. They basically said truck was fine.

It got to the point where I asked the same questions to freightliner 5 different ways, and the guy basically said: "dude we couldn't find any issues...if we did, we'd tell you...that's how we make money..."

Im gonna do a road test tomorrow with freightliner.

What the hell do you think this other company did to my truck. It wasn't running the same. Also...what do you think they could have done to make the air dryer malfunction. Everything worked prior to me taking it there for that small leak.

Sorry for all the words and thanks for any helpful feedback

If in my control, I NEVER let ANYONE pressure wash the engine. There’s sensitive wiring up there that feeds data to and from your ECM. Compromise that for just about nothing.

With that being said, sounds like your being rung through the normal steatlership merry go round. I suggest you really get to researching and finding your own problems and taking educated risks instead of letting these dealerships run tabs up on you.
