Wisconsin would still be on a blend also. It makes a big difference, along wit wind and cold air. Cold air is denser and takes more power to push thru it.
Edjahman Thanks this. -
Yeah I'll have to reevaluate if this winter ever ends up here. It's currently a blizzard and very cold etc.
It is what it is anyway. Can't take em back! Haha. -
I closely research and track tire wear/ purchase. You need to give it 100k miles and closely track MPG over a year to get a better perspective.
Keep them inflated 110 PSI, rotate at 50k, keep the rocks out of them. You’ll be right.Elroythekid and Edjahman Thank this. -

Losing 1 mpg is perfectly normal with brand new deep tread 30/32's or 32/32's tires. I've seen it happen before with my own truck. It will get better over time but it will take a long time. Anymore you're better off buying these newer fuel efficient tires that only have about 26/32's tread depth when new for highway units. From what a distributor told me they last about as long as the older deep treads and they most certainly get better mpg's.
Edjahman Thanks this. -
the wind has been pretty relentless lately too.
Edjahman Thanks this. -
Yeah Wisconsin and Illinois lately....ugh!

spring weather is moving in,and the winter winds will subside. you'll see the mileage creep back up.

Good thing I don't idle on top of all this!
