Being a 1 month rookie I parked my empty tanker at my 1st truck stop a Pilot in Beloit Wisconsin last week.

Usually I do my 10 at the dairies but this night I wanted to get close to the freeway and get a meal out of the truck.

Pull into the pilot with my newly issued 50 inch bunk Western Star that turns about as tight as a Cruise ship.

Pull into the back lot and immediately see a spot 4 lanes in but there doesn't seem to be enough span from the trucks in front of me to get it in, so I keep driving through the tiny parking lot and see no more spaces.
So I whip around in the parking lot and drive by the empty spot and pull out into the access road and whip another u- turn so I can access the spot without blindsiding it.

Well by the time I am half way lined up there is 3 other trucks growling at me who want that spot.

Now I have only backed up maybe 20 times into dairies and only about 5 times with my new Star.

It took me about 4 setups but than I had it where I needed it and a guy came down and watched my nose where it was really tight and I got it in with a feeling of relief and accomplishment.

4:30 am I wake out of a Benadryl coma to an earthquake and jump up and pull the curtain just in time to see the dirtbag truck next to me hi-tailing it out of there as I honked my horn and flashed my lights.

His tail got the whole side of my sleeper, my one and only Stack, my power mirror and air cleaner and about 2 grand in body damage.

    Welcome to the Truckstop!

Was up all morning waiting for manager to see if they had a cam they caught him on . Also for any trucks across from me to see if they had cams, than waited 2 hours for the cops to show up.

Fortauntely he didn't blow out the big sleeper window I was laying right next too, even though he caught part of it.

Note to self sleep with feet by window, head by emergency sleeper door.

That’s a tight truckstop, I only parked there if I could get a real easy spot.

Drivers exiting Applebee’s should be breathalyzer’d... it’s a known problem now.

It's time for me to go and you are in my way. Don't get out and talk to me when i pound on your door. You don't care about me as you blocked me in. I will pound people like you into the ground. Just start the truck and move it, PRONTO.

    Have to love that tailswing....

Hopefully you don’t get a different idiot doing it on the other side while you’re sleeping the other way.
