I want to address you drivers that refuse to secure your load with load locks I’m soooo sick of swapping with you guys and giving you a load secured with two load locks for one with NONE! Quit being so #### lazy and do your job properly!!!!!!

While that sucks and I feel your pain I have two things to say:

    1) How do you know the other guy didn't get it swapped to them that way or it was a preload?

    2) You're preaching to the choir here.

Completely feel your pain about working with other drivers and trailer responsibility's.
But I never worry about load locks. JCT doesn't bat a eye if you need more. Just pick them up at any truck stop. As far as things to get done list it's pretty painless.

    MachoCyclone Thanks this.

When you swap with me you get a breakdown of the trailer like you were relieving me of guard Duty... What's in the trailer, any load locks that I know of, potential issues that could become problems, any maintenance items I fixed in route, how the trailer rides etc..

I personally usually only use one load lock anyways because when you use two ones always loose so what's the point. Unless the shipper requires two . But I'll always offer you my other.

And there are a couple of shippers we go to that pre-sealed the trailers then you end up left with whatever inside. Preferred freezer in Richland comes to mind.

Put the first load lock on at a slight angle and beat down to straight across for max tightness. Then put the 2nd load lock directly on top of it pressing the pads of the 2nd one into the first one's pads, neither will fall off.
