Not really, but I generally know where I'm going to park every morning when I get up. And if I go to a place that holds me up, I use that time to find alternate parking.
Let me give you guys a tip; sleeping in until 7 or 8 in the morning is not wise. I usually get up around 5 or 530 and park 10 to 13 hours later. Today I got up at 0530 in Little Rock , ran 625 miles, dropped and hooked in Lexington KY, dropped and hooked again in Lexington, drove another 50 miles east, and parked at the Shell, exit 133 / I64 in Morehead at 1745. I basically had my choice of spots...as I do almost every day.
It's not hard, but you have to roll early and keep the left door shut.

You know the area you're running in and dont sleep too late in the morning it doesn't really take that much planning. I like running hopper bottom because you can usually sleep where you load and unload and then sleep till 8 because that's when they open.

Hey if I’m sleeping it’s not polite to wake me up. Some of you seem really rude.

I figured you were a drop and hook guy. It's not like that for everyone else. I run spot market freight, which means irregular load/unload times. Which means most days I don't know where I'll end up. Which also means don't keep harping on your "trip Planning". You make it sound as if the rest of us are some idiots out here, who just suck at trip planning. I self dispatch, which means finding the load, picking it up etc etc.
    One size doesn't fit all.

I'll tell you guys about creative parking, LOL. How many times have you seen guys go to sleep in the fuel island or on the cat scale?

If you get Chester's from the mom and pop truck stops, it's better quality than when you get it at loves.
