The Bus driver DOES NOT GET TO TELL THE KIDS WE DONT NEED TO GO BACK to the scene of the accident. That's a hit and run technically. At least.

There will be NO difficulty in learning which bus, which driver and so on.

What I am HOPING for to Heaven is that there is a 18 wheeler with a HD Camera recording that bus driver creating a problem.

I will spend all my days praising this trucker who took it off road rather than take a bus out. I would do the same thing without a thought. If I lived in the area I would save some dollars and take that trucker and his family to a proper sit down somewhere a nice meal with the trimmings. It's the least I can do.

I don't want bad things on anyone because to do that means that I might have bad things happen and others will celebrate. With that said, I want that bus driver to be out of a job running kids. Or... at a minimum Properly SUSPENDED and NOT even SEE a school bus for months until he or she is properly sorry, remorseful and retrained not to do that again.

Bus drivers are not supposed to be in a hurry, what's the rush?

I hope the bus driver is fired for leaving the scene of an accident. Sheesh! What was she thinking? It was a city bus run? No point to be in a hurry, unless she didnt like her job anyways?

Our country is out of control with people only thinking of themselves and putting others in danger, that truck driver should be given a huge award by the motoring public and all the children he saved from a dangerous person, thinking we do not need to report it to a bus load of children is criminal and not the way to show the ones that follow us the proper way to act, a long prison sentence should be given that bus driver also a lobotomy to see if any brains are in that head.

    Absolutely true...

...but anytime I see a school bus I get into another level of cautious.

It chaps me when I see local drivers speeding through a school zone. I was going the posted 25 mph in a school zone last year, just before pulling into a truck stop at the other end. It was unbelievable. Pickups and SUV's blowing my doors off to get their coffee at that truck stop.

As I am waiting in line to buy my coffee, I over hear a local chatting with the cashier about how it's such a pain in the ### to slow down to 25 mph in the school zone in a 55 mph highway.

I said, "Why is it I'm not from here, but I love your children more than you do?"

He didn't say a word. Just walked out. Maybe it was my boots, jeans, and work shirt that tipped him off I drive professionally. I do hope that encounter changed his path and of all those listening.

I think about that moment quite a bit since then. Why would local folks choose to disregard speed limits in school zones? More important is why would "professional" drivers do that?

School zone? School bus? Slow the #### down and look for hazards. Cover that brake. It's the time to go to full alert.

My friends, family and fiancé know I would take myself out, rather than hit a car or bus load of kids.
