Aluminum will not last long. Forklift drivers will destroy on first load.
I have been seeing a lot of 3 inch round pins on many of the newer professional pipe haulers trailers.

Here is what I was talking about. Works good with preventing the pipe stakes from getting in the way... On this box only used two 2x4 pieces in each corner. 20171013_093951.jpg 20171013_094024.jpg 20171013_093951.jpg

Has anyone used Unistrut as pipe stakes?

I personally wouldn't use it. The unistrut I'm familiar with is 12 gauge thickness (0.109"). For reference, 11 gauge is 1/8" thick (0.125").

    cke and SAR Thank this.

    Gotcha.
I don't actually need pipe stakes for pipe. I was carrying rolled mesh (for reinforcing concrete). It was stacked 3x3 per pallet, and I had 4 total (2 pallet stacked) and it shifted. So I really just want two vertical posts/stakes that I can strap/chain together to keep everything from shifting.
