I have a 07 Volvo 670 with a Cummins ISX 870. usually when i hear air coming through the dash I'm Losing air in the trailer, but this is happening while bobtailed. I looked all over for and air leak and found one going into the Air governor quick connect when i press the brakes. I got the shop changing it but the dash noise only happens when I'm accelerating and about to switch to switch gears between 11- 1300 rpm, once all the way in gear pass 1300 it cuts out. a leak from the quick connect on the governor that only leaks while pushing the brakes shouldn't do that right?

Air bags responding quicker with no load? Hear it all the time with my 10' split axle trailer running empty, especially when I get on quick, after a hard red light.

sometimes it leaks from valve or fitting behind the dash .... sounds a lot like the leaky trailer sound but not quite the same ...... just had that happen .... wasn't too bad to fix
-
had the same thing on my 670 it was a bad brake chamber back feeding air through the parking brake valve.
mtoo Thanks this. -
mine was leeking behind the parking brake valve but sounded about the same as when it back feeds

Mechanic said it was a loose V band clamp on the EGR
