It's a bunch of folks who have been in the game for a while on TTR. You only get a refusal if you actually refuse, or don't go to the place. I think he refused
odd question.

Regardless of the test type, once you enter the secure area you MAY NOT leave until your urine has been collected, the chain of custody form filled out and signed and you have your copy and told you may leave. If you leave this area it is considered a (positive) and per the FMCSA you are now disqualified to operate a CMV for anybody! I'm actually surprised this person even was allowed to operate a CMV with the new company until the information about the old job was sent to them. As a side note, if this thread is another of these (new member?) posts as trolling click bait know that the admins can see IPs. make sure you are using a VPN or a TOR browser.

I don't know why your man fell for the story the employer needs him. HELL the employer sent him there to drug test they can #### well sit on their desk and WAIT a minute.
Ive said enough. Im not your enemy. But now here we are, No test, leaving premise = refusal or treated as a positive result. THAT leads to another pile of problems.
The best you can do for your man right now is to stay by him in this time of trouble if you believe in him. This industry considers truckers disposable, essentially throwaway, easily replaced. Now if he did do drugs for state laws rec pot or whatever legal, get him out of your life. Because trucking at the federal level expressly prohibits a range of drugs specifically. -
“Wow, they’re all mean at TTR. Everyone was so negative. They don’t believe him. They all think he’s lying. They’re not helpful at all. I’m never going back!”
Why isn’t it that no one believes that story?
Well, the drug testing is standardized...the company that sent you there doesn’t matter. They call you on the phone and tell you that you have been selected for a random drug test. You have a limited amount of time to get to a clinic. The clinic has absolutely NOTHING to do with the trucking company. The company usually just finds the closest clinic to your current location. They will never tell you that someone from your company called and need you to return. NEVER.
“How do you know for certain, Six?”
Because, walk in clinics are never affiliated with one trucking company. Any company (not just transportation) that drug tests it’s employees will use that clinic. So his saying that someone at the clinic told him to return to work is a bold face lie (see the LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE reference).
So, the clinic has you sign a federal form, check your ID, talk you to a small bathroom and hand you a cup. They tell you not to flush the toilet. You pee in a cup, and they take the cup from you and pour it into a vial. Instantly, the vial tells them the temperature of the pee. Too cold or too hot throws a red flag and they will have you redo the test, this time with a spectator. When everything is good, they note this on the federal paperwork, seal the vials and have you, the driver, initial the seal and tell you that you can leave. If you leave for any reason before that, that’s a refusal. Got it?
