I went to that school in November. I found it to be a good school for a 19 day school. I don't have any other experience to go by though. They did a good job teaching logs maps etc.. You don't get that much road time but you will get adaquate range time. I had 8.5 hrs road and 36.5 hrs range time. Gus and Dennis are great range instructors. I found all the instructors I dealt with good or great. They in reviewing graduate experince found that more range time then road time meant fewer parking lot (think truck stops) accidents which is where they found most of the accidents happening. Make use of their trailer dock as it will help you with that. They no longer teach the 45* dock as they were forced to teach the 90* dock. You can if you ask still learn the 45*. While I was there we had 16 people which went down to 14 after the first week. They can easily accomadate this many with just 1 student per truck in most cases. 2 students per road truck. But, by time I left they had 27 people using the same number of trucks. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. Went to school for CFI in 01 and decided to try it again. I did great on everything except backing so maybe they're method of teaching will help with that.:yes2557:

    Hey all,
I just spoke to a guy I went to driving school with. He said that he got off the truck with his trainer on the 14th. He had been let off at PAMs Tontitown, Ar terminal so he could upgrade to 1st seat driver. He said that he went through all the requierments and after being upgraded he was promply LAID OFF. I have been off the trainer truck for 3 weeks wondering, until I got a call from him, when I would get to upgrade. I am no longer wondering why I hadn't upgraded yet. Now I have to get confirmation come Monday and then look for a job. The sad part is that I now have to pay back Drivers Solutions $6395.00 instead of just the $1495 that was agreed to following 1 year of employment.
Do check this out. You don't want to get stuck like us. I will be contacting Driver Solutions to see about what can be done regarding working it off with another company or a payment plan.

CAREFUL WHAT YOU SIGN RIGHT NOW.

Thanks for the update. That's scary! Guess I better start putting in some more apps. I've been thinking about Prime lately. Food is recession proof so maybe they will have some stability. I applied with Millis but haven't heard anything. I don't want to go through the school only to find out I don't have a job when I finish. If anyone has any ideas I'm open to suggestion.:biggrin_25526:
