Bud we all been in the game for a while, asking advice when your mind seems to be made up is kinda counterproductive dont you think? At $80 a day it is $40 less than the $600 in the first phase with jim palmer but in the end you get alot more in the long run by eating that $40 a week to start. So you want to suffer through $40 less a week for a month-month and a half or suffer for a year by sitting at food warehouses with palmer\prime.

    Mike2633 Thanks this.

Not trying to be counterproductive but I have did some research. My question wasnt Schneider or JP? I was asking if anyone drove for JP out of AZ. My choice is to get road experience before I'm set out on my own. I feel I'll get that more with JP. If I have to deal with that for a year then it's a learning experience.

Jim Palmer isn't owned by Prime.
Jim Palmer and Wil-Trans are owned by the same man and both companies have contracts to haul for Prime. He also owns O&S Trucking and Wilson Logistics.
The issue with Schneider is they don't have APU's and Jim Palmer does have Tripac APU's.
To each his own, but I pulled reefers most of my career and liked it just fine.

I know they run south of Phoenix, I have seen their trucks at the WalMart DC. YOu probably don't notice them as there are not many of them, and most now have that stupid W with the eagle for Wil_trans above the cab windshield on the sleeper roof.

    Mike2633 and Rackem74 Thank this.

The "W" is for Wilson the owner, Darrell Wilson.

I liked the old Palmer trucks that didn't have it. I have also noticed more Wil-Trans trucks than Palmer these days out west, most are the newer Freightliner body style, I am beginning to wonder if the Jm Palmer scheme is on the way out, and the Wil-Trans is taking over.

Maybe so, but I really like Jim Palmer pay setup. Decent pay.
