I’ve tryed and tryed, I just hate the Mack truck with a passion. I just can’t see myself driving this garbage OTR for another year. And I was told only thing i could get was a 2018 Mack when we have new internationals sitting all over the yard. It’s not just the size of it, I’m just uncomfortable feeling in the drivers seat. Basically it’s the car I would never wanna drive anywhere but i got to drive it all day every day. I’m looking into other company’s now as bad as I hate to. I love where i work but this truck is killing me. I honestly dread getting in it every time I go back to work. It is not a OTR truck by no means, the entire dash /steering wheel and stuff is just setup all wrong, the seat doesn’t even have any give to it for bouncing. It’s just driving me nuts. Today when I asked I was told it be forever before we got any other ones. And I could get the 18 Mack, it’s same dang truck as 2014, built just same, no arm room and wheel blocks all my gauges. So I’m not sure what I’m gonna do,

I parked here at P&G or Gillette whatever it’s called over nite, I load 6 am, then I gotta sit on it till Monday to deliver cause he said they had nobody to deliver. I’m charging layover because my house to far away for me to leave Highpoint and come back just to go drop a trailer at browns summit. Then I’m parking Mack and peace homies.. I’m out

I usually run those in 3 days 2 nights so I would have left early Friday for a 6am load Saturday Once they screwed up dispatch and I parked at the Walmart a mile or so from the plant.

As far as coming in just to deliver a load it happens. Sometimes they have had me deliver several dropped loads. I always consider it a favor when they let me drop one on the yard for the local guy. Happens about 50% of the time.

Hope you find something that works for you.
