Can't remember the jingle, something like 2x5= 10mph , anyways it was a way to pick your gear while in traffic- i do 5 and 6 in traffic and also a lot of skipping, but i am light most times. I'm sure some one knows that RPM/ MPH jingle- 1+5 or 15 mph= 6 gear, so 25 is 7 and so on

depending on the load I'm usually at 45+ when I get on to the highway/interstate unless it's around 40k lb loads up a hill then closer to 35+

Well after 13 years being a Navy Deep Sea Diver then a 10 year break driving truck in the oil field then another 13 year stint of running riverine combat boats you tend to not have joint left in your body that hasn't had some kind of damage done to it. 2 back surgery's, 2 knee surgery's 2 broken ankles and a few other broken arms, wrists fingers etc. Other then the narcotics that were given to me at the time of the injures, I will NEVER take any type of narcotic, no matter what the doctor prescribed, spend a day at the VA and see just how many guys are addicted to that stuff and are fighting their injuries plus an narcotic addiction. Nope, doing fine with my Motrin. I'm 80% VA disabled plus my Navy retirement but I can't set at home on my butt, the whole reason I went back to driving truck is because it is low impact for me in these oversized Cadillacs. 800mg in the morning gets me moving and what ever I need during the day to keep me moving.

I hadn't driven an 18 speed for over 6 years yet went out for a test drive the middle of last year got every gear right, just like riding a bike you never ever forget.

So I got a road test with a company called R C Moore next week in a 10 speed so let's hope I don't grind that much.
