I would say it's accurate that the cost of older trucks is about supply and demand...

The supply of new trucks is junk so the demand for older good trucks goes up

    Very simple equation.

So how do I profit from this?

Never mind I know there is no profit in arguing with people who think they know everything and thinks everyone is a liar but them. I have a contract with contract rates and when your 89 peterbilt breaks down and your calling me up for a comcheck because your credit card is maxed out maybe you will understand what I'm saying about that rental.

But your just too awesome and smart and way too skilled of a mechanic for that to happen right? I'll make sure I tell my customers that next time they call me wanted to know why they are paying $3.50 a mile to move their load on your 89 Pete!
    Your a troll piss off.

Better hurry up and read before dog come and deletes this.

Well you made some pretty bold statements and I’m just like you and assuming you’re a liar until you prove otherwise. So prove it. Show us a $600 truck rental contract and 5 digit Check that made them give to your superior negotiating skills.

BTW, only 5 digits? LMAO $10,000 isn’t exactly big money you know. If you’re trying to impress you should’ve said 6.

Exactly no one pays you more because you have a new truck or an older one they pay for service. In your new truck with your crazy payment if a sensor goes out you could be in a stealership for a week ....I would do like I did last week roll up to my cathouse because I dropped an injector rocker arm and cam drop 3600 and be out the next night, but more importantly when rates fall as they all ways do my debt load is zero, I will still be killing it while the guys with the yuge payments will be struggling

In my area companies are offering a mind blowing sum of $1.75 for pulling maxed tridems in the mountains. Ha, fuel surcharge is built into that scam rate. So I have $30k burning a whole in my pocket, so I'm going to buy a true old beast for $20k or less and dump maybe $10k into it if I have to, just to be legal and keep it running. Nice thing is, after I burn it out in two years I can ditch it for a few bucks and buy another to kill. Only have a few more years left until I go bat squat crazy with retirement.
