That sucks. I never thought about that being out here. All my mail goes to a po box. No one could tell me about jury duty until i empty it out.

Yeah I never thought about that either. It seems like a reasonable excuse if you were just out on the road and never got it. Like hey I just didn't know, reschedule me or something. I'm not trying to avoid it.

My h/m/l engine break button has an Amber light. I didn't know there was a light on that button. Engine brake seems to work, but not as well as before. But I can't decide if it's actually not working that well or if I tricked myself into thinking it's not working well because now there is a light on the button that I never saw before. I guess I'll be having the shop take a look at that tomorrow morning.

It's not tax deductible for company drivers anymore, nothing is, not even per diem. If you're a company driver and you're not on the per diem pay you're getting shafted. It's one of the few bad parts about the new tax law, no more UNreimbursed business expense deductions for employee drivers.

I have heard three or four different explanations of how it is going to work.

Which is why I have an accountant. He gets to deal with the mess. I'll ask him when I see him this weekend.

In other news, from what I've been told, the incentive program is,

    Miles ran over month times,

60% on cruise, pays .01 cpm

70% on cruise, pays .02 cpm

Under 10% idle, pays .01 cpm

    10% to 15% idle, pays .005 cpm

    $50 for videos

Will be paid on second check of following month. At 11,500 miles a month that's $395.

Pretty dang easy if you ask me. Run the heck out of that cruise. It's smoother on the throttle and you'll get better mpg too

I basically live on cruise. I’m actually a little confused why the cruise usage is such a concern. It would drive me insane trying to hold that pedal down all day.

Why do you think the old hands call it "hammer down" there driver? Back before cruise control was the norm you'd lay a hammer on the throttle and let 'er rip.

Some people hate the radar system snubbing the brakes.

I'm with you. I love the thing. You just have to be aware of its flaws and cover the accelerator when necessary.

Note of caution, if your cruise is out it’s imperitive you have it fixed or you can quickly overshoot your target.

The same goes for an APU not working in the heat or cold, don’t wait fix it! Yes we are talking real money over a year $395x12=$4740 per year before taxes so as the song suggests, play the game...
