Clipped by company driver. Company not returning my calls

1) Call L.E. get a report # for a Hit and Run.( with all info. and adresses)
2) Call your Insuranse Co. Open a Claim for a Hit and Run. ( with the Info. you already have.
That will "start the Bowling ball" running.

 

They are circling the wagons trying to decide what to do. They aren't going to tell you anything until a lawyer tells them something.

 

Call police give them witness info and a written statement. Provide info to your insurance. Get truck fixed. Let your insurance co fight for their money. That's why we have insurance. Stop doing other people's work.

 

Get your insurance involved ... first they have to pay you to get your truck repaired for the hit and run ... then let them deal with the other company, they have a financial incentive to recover the monies paid to you for your claim ... It's their job and why you pay them. No need for you to be dealing with this crap.

Whether you had an eyewitness or not, that’s what you do. Take pictures and make absolutely sure that the pictures prove that the hit happened where you took the pics. It seems that when these things happen, you have to be prepared to battle your very own insurance company. They will want 2 estimate, and talk about getting your truck DOT passable (holding the headlights in with duct tape). I don’t give a #### about DOT, FIX MY TRUCK.

“Oh, but driver, that may take a few weeks.”

Don’t worry. I am lawyering up, because I will be compensated for my down time.

It seems as if you have to kick your insurance company arse, hit them hard, make sure you and the truck are taken care of, and then let them go after the other company. I don’t care. I just need the truck fixed and compensation for my down time. Don’t be nice. Lawyer up. Your insurance company isn’t looking out for your best interest.

L.E.= Law Enforcement. It will be best if you contacted them when it happened and had them do a report but you will need one on it in the future. Save copies of everything related to the accident, including texts, messages, pictures, etc. Like the others said, turn copies of everything in to your insurance company. They will probably handle it if you have all the required info and appropriate coverages? Would also be a good idea to talk to a lawyer?

 

Call police/DPS. Give them witnesses name and photos.

This is called hit and run.

Call your insurance after you get police report.

Pass go and collect lots of money for your down time.

And make sure when you get police report, you talk to the D.A. and let it be known you want that driver prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

As others have said. Police report, file claim with your insurance, probably have to sue carrier for damages.
