It seems there are new containers with a very thin floor and roof. In combination with this trailer they hope to end up with containers with an internal height of 3 metre.

I could be wrong and haven't looked it up, but I think most of the tag axles on super dumps are 22.5s.

    Yes and no.
    Some are 4m
    Some are higher.
Some have no limit.they just say if you hit anything above a certain height you pay for the damage.

Most Hendrickson or Watson Chalin 8K axles use 17.5 wheels and 10K axles use 19.5 wheels. 12K and 13.2 usually use 22.5. 8K is maintenance nightmare from personal experience.

And tollerance of 5cm on 4m with trucks that use air suspension. This is what everyone try to fit into. Of course many fail that resulting with problems.
In italy they can take your truck for that for 3months.
Eu is bit blind when it is in interes of big players. Trucks that are low and got 3m of internal loading height often have 4.08-4.09m total. Depending on truck you have it is possible to get that under 4m (3.98m) but it is rare. Schwarzmueller have trailer with neck of just 5cm. They were first designed to haul car parts but over years it is adopted to many other industries. Than you have car and truck haulers, they often drive without height permits.
Also bad are low trucks that are used to drive transport high cube bdf containers are about 412-413cm.
Worst of all are livestock haulers they got often 420-440cm.
