If you want to find out if you've been compromised... Have I Been Pwned: Check if your email has been compromised in a data breach
Worth checking periodically. You don't need the whole email, just the part before @.
I was thinking this morning that what I'd do --if I found it worthwhile-- is buy one of these. I can then offer them access to the tracking page. This is used by people in backcountry and blue-water (ocean) situations so would be accurate and up-to-date, it's survival-level stuff.
At the end of the run I just turn it off and no one has my address book or anything else off my phone. If they want to see where I go on my next tracked run, let them.
Some time ago I worked on a hiring project for a major transportation company. Before the first session I get an email, with a 1000-plus page pdf attached, hundreds of people's info, including SS#'s, credit refs, everything they would supply to apply for a job. Sent via open email, the law be ######.
They told me to forward it to the nearest Kinko's to have it printed out. So now the Kinko's server would have a copy, and the guy running the printer can make one if they want, as can anyone who works at Kinkos nationwide.
I couldn't stop the idiocy before it got to me, but I bought a laser printer and did the printing myself to try to protect those applicants. And the paper went in the wood stove after the sessions.
Just an example of how backward and ignorant most large companies are, and how little they "value your privacy" or "take your privacy seriously".
They used Taleo, FWIW, doubt it would have mattered. But feel free to make fun, just because your umber hasn't come up yet.p608 Thanks this. -

Why don't one of these elite hackers invent the dummy / programmable e log????
They could own their own island.
Oh that's right, they just want to know what you look at on twitter. So much more worthwhile.MACK E-6 Thanks this.
