Danny Herman does not have any reefer trailers. I had thought they were a reefer company also, but I checked that out before I started with them. That's not to say that DHT trucks don't haul someone else's reefer trailers for some special reason, but I haven't heard of that yet. Just finished orientation on Thursday and left with a 1600-mile load on Friday. Base pay is 0.38 for 1 year of experience and 0.40 for two years. They want you to run at least 12,000 miles a month. When you hit 12,000 miles for the month, you get an additional 0.06 for all 12,000 miles. If you only make it over 11,000 miles, you get 0.03 bonus for every mile. I've never heard so many people with so many good things to say about a company, both in person and on this forum. You also get 1.5 days off for every week out.

I think that 100K refers to teams

I think the guy you are referring to earned that money while training new drivers. I don't know him, but I seem to remember reading something like that. My first load last Friday was about 1600 miles, and my second load that I deliver on Saturday is about 2000 miles. It doesn't get much better than that!

I'm only on my second load, so I haven't learned many of the customers. As far as I know, Speed Drums posted some of the bigger ones. My first load was shaving razors from Mexico to a DHL facility in South Carolina. We haul lot of finished goods from Mexico into the US and then raw materials from the US (like cotton and cotton cloth) to Mexico. Mexican carriers haul our freight out of Mexico to our border terminals in Laredo and El Paso, Texas; Nogales, Arizona; and a couple border towns in California.

I think they'd be a good company. Never really heard anyone bad mouth them.
They have nice equipment, and run an easy lane.

Why kind of MPG you getting?

My 2015 manual T680 has 634,000 miles on it and the MPG readout doesn't work. I need to figure it the old-fashioned way one of these days. I just fueled before I shut down, so I will check the MPG when I stop tomorrow. Even with that many miles, it runs really great. I was told that it's getting traded off in August or September along with any other 2015s that DHT has.
