Ask if their tuition reimbursement applies to a state vo tech school

I bet it only applies to their massively inflated in house school

Most want to hit you with a $7k-9k loan
When a vo tech school is $1700

I went to the tech school in Carrollton
And most tech schools are also third party testers

If you pass the class , you get your CDL
You don’t have to turn around and take the written and driving tests all over again

But if you do have to make an appt and take the road test with the state , consider the one in millidgeville

I’ve helped a few people get their bus CDL and the one in milledgeville usually has many time slots available and it’s in a rural area

Freymiller - is one of the best reefer outfits for new cdl graduates and has tuition reimbursement.

What part is fake? They pay the driver reimbursement checks in monthly installments. This applies to cdl school graduates from private, community college, vocational schools; not trucking company in-house schools.

I can only speak of schnieder, as I have spoken to them. They reimburse you the cost of the schooling of your choice at$200 a month.

How would you rate the pay of a company like this compared to doing tanker? I'm not looking to get rich, but would liketo make decent money especially since I'm going to be away from my family. Also how does it work if their based out of oklahoma and I'm in Ga would this effect my home time. Thanks

Being in Georgia wouldn't affect your home time.
The best pay is with tankers.
If you want to try flatbed, go with Transport National. They're growing and looking for more drivers, including new cdl grads. Pay with this company is similar to tankers.
Freymiller is a decent reefer outfit and does urine drug test.
Tanker outfits do hair follicle drug test.

I think FFE (Frozen Food Express) has a facility in Atlanta. @TravR1 is a new driver there and can give you info on the company. Probably worth a try. You can apply to as many companies as you want and take the best offer. FFE does hair follicle drug test.

I don't understand that picture. I dont think that truck is going to make that turn.

They do have a terminal in Atlanta. No showers, but the ladies we deal with there are nice.

With FFE linehaul seems to be popular. You drive a fixed route over and over pretty much. You might take a load from Atlanta to Burlington NJ, then hook to another trailer and go to Dallas, then where ever. You can go solo, learn your route and the best places to park, etc. It's real easy. The pay is so-so. Priority is given to teams and trainers, then the solo guys seniority and on down. So you might have a good week and pull in 1200, or you might sit and wait a lot and make less.

They have local stuff sometimes available too. A driver told me they make 18.75 with lots of OT. That's what I was told anyway.

Their dedicated accounts seem to pay the best. They pay you on your off week. It's the hardest work, but checks are great.

Id say if you like routine and knowing what to expect, then linehaul. If you want something more fluid and drive through cities and the challenges that go with it, then go dedicated. They might send you into NYC one week, then off to Denver or LA the next.

Oh the trucks are all auto. Some have driver facing cameras others don't. They claim it only turns on when you disable the bendrix alarm thing that sounds when you drive on to freeway white lines. Its annoying, esp. Through construction.

Not many sleeper amenities. You can idle for heat and AC, it shuts off then turns back on. If youre sleeping in the top bunk it shakes the hell out of you. You have some storage and thats it. If you want a TV or a game system, you gotta provide the equipment. And most of the drivers have trouble with their Nintendo's or whatever they are called now. The truck shuts off and so does their game. Lol
