That's because the 'emergency' load rate is where the normal rate should be.

I think they JUST recently changed that from a min of 6 months active authority.

Three months is not that long of time. It will go by fast, then we can read how you LOVE JBH cause they have good freight.

And it's nearly impossible to grow it a bit without having reliable people in place first or you are dead meat.

Still not sure how I feel loading new carriers. Kinda like hiring rookie drivers. You may get lucky, or go bankrupt. You just don't know.

Heck, Marten requires 9-10 months under your belt to book, some a year. 90 days isn't that big a deal. Besides, how often do we see posts on here by folks who got a truck, got authority, want to hire a driver, and have ZERO experience in the field? If I was a broker, I wouldn't take brand now authorities, either...and I AM a relatively new authority!

Not necessarily. I hired drivers who came highly recommend. One lasted 2 days, the other less than 3 weeks. Spotless records, stable work history, weren't worth a darn. Answer me this. Why should I take a chance on you when I have established fleets I already work with?
