To be honest with you nothing has changed for me. Nobody calls me leaves me alone. I run where I want to run. When I leave the house I Head to the western region as fast as can and The planner for that region keeps me in his area so I’m pretty happy.
My miles have seemed to evened out with no more wild swings.

Nice trucks, they trying to put trainers in them until the condo sleeper trucks come in. I honestly don't want to train in a mid-roof truck with no storage space. Training is stressful enough, but you also need breathing room, and storage space. If they knew they wanted more trainers they should've diversified the fleet....10 freightliners or 10 Kdubs.....but what I know, I am just a driver.

I want to thank you also. For all your help and advise. You’re one of the ones who try.
Ray... you might give the auto a chance. Just today I was east bound from Eisenhower Tunnel. Working my auto. All the variance and control over the transmission and engine brake. It was reminding me of playing music in a duet with an extremely good partner. Hardly used the brakes at all. More involved than a standard. They really got it down now.
I still haven’t moved to my new terminal. It’s just officially yes from the main office as of today. Present terminal manager is making it as difficult as he can. He don’t wanna lose me. I’ll be losing my new Volvo. Oh well. Like I told my present terminal manager...I got better things to worry about.

    Winnyf1 and ncmickey Thank this.

Naaaah, it gets easier...I thought the same thing on my 1st hot day unloading in FL, but, once your body gets acclimated to it, and you get your rhythm down, you'll never want to pull a box again. And this is coming from a wide-body driver.

    Winnyf1 Thanks this.

Not happening for me western. Considering I can drop gear and get more rpms to get more engine braking or control the gear climbing a hill and know it wont try and shift out of it on me. Ive driven bad passes, where you want rpms low, and I dont want an auto where the company disables manual mode. Besides, shifting is too much fun. Id rather quit than go into an auto.

Oldironfan and Vic Firth Thank this.
