You new guys are paid much less, you were hired with bare minimum trucking experience, you’re not assigned to trucks and we stopped cookouts because we never honored dedicated drivers so why would the company honor drivers hired with the same experience?

Think about that next time you think you can sit down and have a cup of coffee with us seniors. You’re not one of the same and even Walmart knows this. We only see you as a modern day scab.

Most drivers aren't looking for honors; they just want a decent job and are willing to work for it. Most don't care if other drivers at other companies make more than they do because they know they can change jobs any time they want to. Most drivers realize they're just a small cog in a big wheel and that when they eventually leave the company, no one will care or even remember their name in a couple of weeks.

Actually they were feeding the dedicated at the cookouts. Whenever I actually had a chance to get by my home DC I could tell cuz there was scraps, trash, and cigarette butts all along the walkway. Once entering office I would see a plethora of flip flop, tank top, wearing, knuckle draggers stuffing their faces and trashing the place.

While most of the above is true, little things such as a new brass belt buckle every year as a safety award was nice. I do miss that the most.

Actually it is not bad. Don't let a former driver, who most likely sulked in his truck, tell you different.

New guys do not have special uniforms or anything. They are treated just like any other Walmart driver.
