That's very good habit to be in.

They also have roaming portable bathroom scales to catch you as you roll anywhere at any time. Pull over. and put all your tires onto the bathroom portable scales and see where you are.

    =)

I don't have any expectation. It was just one of those things i didn't expect to encounter. I scaled. They said your all good. I parked in the lot to shut down. Went inside my trailer axle is 36+. I slide it but I'm tired and not going back to reweigh till i wake up again. I just feel they could say hey your axle is this much you can reweigh if they know its overweight.

Lesser fee? I'm fine paying for the weigh and the reweighs.

Tf? :/ I seen some kinda digital scale you can hook up to the trailer but it looks hardwired to the trailer. I don't get to keep connected to one trailer or I'd definitely invest in it.

They do not discriminate against people because they are overweight, everyone is told come inside. Heck, half of the people weighing you are overweight also.

Most of the people working the truck stop counters don't know what the legal weights are.

36k is legal on my spread axle trailer.

dunchues, Bean Jr. and motocross25 Thank this.

They make you come in at the cat scale so you will pay! And not just weigh and run off. You can get the app. and get the weights right on your phone.

That's a good idea. I need a new phone though. Mine only has 16 gigs and it has 2 company apps i need which take up a bunch of space and it has to be in a certain position to charge. :/

What if it's not overweight? A 36k axle could be legal in a lot of cases, the obvious is spread axle (flatbed mostly, but some vans) is 40k. Or it could be permited. Or any number of other reasons. It's not the job of some min wage employee to know every state's weight laws.

Then there is the fact if they displayed before paying, most would not pay.

If you really want convience though, get the cat scale ap for your phone. No need to go in it tells you all the weights.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

When a driver just pulls off the cat and parks then you are stuck on cat scale before ck in then you walk inside and see your wt. on the inside screen then fix it and go on down the road?
