The wheel spin happened when I was holding the throttle. I would ease out then back in, chug down the road and feel it spin again. Repeated so I shifted up and just crawled up in low rpms and never had an issue again. Maybe winny is right on it may have helped. Like I said, Im still learning so may have miss read it and may have just been coincidence. I just took it as keep rpms low and go up slow.

I just want to know when I can get a truck that can go a few weeks without something breaking.
I've been here a little over 3 years and I'm on my fourth truck.
I got this truck (2016) two days ago. They pulled my 2015 for some poor soul doing dedicated to deal with. Anyway now the AC in the bunk area blows hot. Not ambient air, but like the heat is on. Yes it's on cool, yes the AC button is on.
This may not seem like a big deal, but as often as I end up having to idle my truck because the APU is broken again it has me concerned.
Instead of looking to add stuff to these trucks like the message from Mandy is talking about, just give me a truck that can go a couple of months without something breaking. -
If I hadn't blown my shoulder out I would still be pulling a skateboard.
I really was much happier than pulling these noisy reefers with the stupid appt. times.Winnyf1 Thanks this. -
Im on my 3rd truck and been here less than a year. I think this new truck is a winner. Doesnt seem to be doing much better than my 15 on fuel economy but she seems reliable.
Im glad the company is thinking of us, maybe due to all the trucks in the yard?, but I already have unlimited data, and pay for music service, and since I never really have tume for TV... would rather have 2 paid parkings a month that roll over, just in case I need em. Im cheap though. -

Guess that I’ve been lucky, I’ve not broken down or de-rated on the road YET! I have had the APU crap out on me twice and got it repaired quickly. The DEF system had an issue last December and I was 25 miles east of Billings and was able to get turned around and was in the motel for 2 nights until they could get the parts in and get it back up and running. It has not had any codes since that time and it’s running great (probably just screwed myself).
ncmickey Thanks this. -
Not sure what the poly thread is but I derated for 3 days in Feb and another 3 days in march lol. Clutch fan hub or something end of Jan. Other odd ball stuff in my last truck. Sensor and apu has been serviced thus far in new truck, nothing since.
