So yet again Number 6 i think my hood and bumper was Severally damaged by a idiot that doesn't understand how to drive a semi truck. From what i've been told by insurance the Stardand is $150 a day but thats not even a guarantee. If they don't pay then i don't get paid.. My problem here is company Drivers make more then that just by driving 500 miles a day... So on a Serious note what would you be asking for a Day on down time? Im thinking 300-500 Range as its clearly there fault as i was parked.. Would you take it a step further if they say we are only paying you $150 and say i'm gonna sue you for all my down time.. I'm prob looking at 2 Weeks of down time again while they fix everything YET again..
Yes i can afford to take the time off but why should i be without income?
    Thank you...

Not trying to repeat myself, just putting here for others that may read later. I'd add total revenue for the last six months divided by days worked to get my average daily revenue. Then ask for the total amount I would be missing out on. I've had good luck with insurance companies paying it in the past, but that' because my insurance paid that then went after the other company to be reimbursed. I actually made more money while my truck was in the shop than I did driving.

Yeah the way I was explained today was IF they pay then it's prob gonna be about $100-150 a day. I'm sorry but that doesn't seem fair at all. These company drivers are making more at this point then...

I agree take your average for last 6 months, or even a year. If they don't want to pay that have a lawyer call them, and discuss mental distress of having your beloved truck violated yet again. And the possibility that you may be permanently impaired do to your fear of being hit again.

Check should be in your account by noon the next day ;)

I second what razor said, I got backed into by Crete this past winter, and gave them my 2/3 month net, subtracted fuel for that period, and divided by days worked and was paid for time down. As long as you can prove your losing that amount a day you should be fine.

Your insurance agent should provide the formula that these insurance company's use to determine your loss. Thats what he is paid to do represent you.

What you have to do is prove what the truck has averaged by the day/week then stand firm on that number. It won't be a fast process but don't screw yourself herw. They won't even pay a hundred a day if you can't prove it was earning it
