I'm just taking a big guess here and say that the Walmart CFO (Chief Financial Officer) figured out will all these O/O willing to do loads for next to nothing why bother having your own fleet and having to pay for all the fleet maintenance, when some else will do all that and save you lots of $$$$$ i see Walmart's profits sky rocketing from now on.

    Wrong.

Can't claim depreciation/ losses on trucks on taxes, dedicated drivers tear stuff up, deliver to wrong store, are not usually reliable, loses the company money.

It's been tried over the past 6months, hatchet man nervous, he might be getting the hatchet next

I’ve been doing a Walmart dedicated account for a few months now: I’ve never been late or delivered to a wrong store or dock; and haven’t torn anything up. If we do; Walmart takes us off the account; I still look up to the Walmart fleet drivers: always have: always will; but, the fact is: they seem to be turning over a lot of their drivers and not able to fill those seats... Not sure why, but, I don’t think it’s because of us. We are just a plug in the dam to keep all the water from leaking out: at this point; I think...

I don't think Wal-Mart cares if dedicated tears up their own trucks. As long as they don't trash our trailers and stores. I know if i was one of the few dedicated drivers that qualified to drive a walmart truck, i would jump immediately if i could. I guess the usx and Schneider guys with a million miles i see pulling walmart trailers make more money than us. That or they would take an initial pay cut starting at the bottom.

Well; I don’t want to slip seat; I have a dog with me; I have a great insurance package and I’ve been with my company for years: not all of us are in a position or need the additional money to flip over to work directly for Walmart... there are reasons people choose to work and stay where they are..............

His plan may or may not work. Clearly the driver changes he wanted to make will not.

But class warfare has no place in this discussion. He is paid what he could get same as anyone else does. If he fails his employer (stockholders and board of directors) will hold him accountable.

Don't care for the guy, but I will never condemn a man for getting the top rate for his labor. The folks that brought him in may be on the block as well.

If it works for you cool. A lot of folks like the relaxed policies at contract carriers.

I wish they would tighten up the appearance but there has been talk during the next rounds that may be addressed. Simply because it is perishable foods being hauled and unloaded. Flip flops should be out.

Not saying you are wearing g them or not. But some of the Werner folks they have brought in at 6059 were clearly not raised right to dress like that in public.
