Ok are we talking excercise:biggrin_2551: I'm scared.... no really I would do a bit isometric type exercise but the most exercise I got was lifting my coffee cup and raising the landing gear.

I WILL avoid all fast food other than something like Subway here and there.

My Uncle has driven truck for 40 years and he has so much sleep debt he often falls asleep in stranges places like sitting on the toilet, sitting up in a chair etc.

He has smoked this entire time, drank tons of coffee and eatten at every fast food place known to man.

Today he has lung cancer, circulation problems etc. I'm already over weight as it is but do not eat any of the crap he does so why start when I get a job trucking. I will just visit grocery stores and carry a big cooler.

having a girlfriend thats 4'11 and 110 pounds helps too as I often don't get the booty when I don't eat right

Best way to stay in shape, Avoid the buffet lines, walk alot when you are parked, I park as far away from the truck stop door as possible, this also helps avoid all the rookies who have no clue how to back, they usually take the pull through spots up anyway. Stretching, pushups, and situps, can be done in the truck. If you get real good at push ups, throw two ropes around the top bunk, now take a small bar or pipe place it between them, crawl your butt up to the top bunk, place your feet in the bar and do inclined situps. I will warn you though turn off your cb and close your cab curtain as any driver who sees this is surely going to say something on the radio like" You aint gonna believe what i just seen, this #### driver was hanging upside down from the top bunk, #### JB drivers just dont know how to hang themselves either."

You could go to work for a Grocery Supply company. The driver unloads the truck and gets paid stop, case and mile.

I did it for Farm Fresh Dairy and Bakery back in the early '80's. It is one way to get paid for the work out.

I chain, tarp, eat right, walk, park as far as possible from the truckstop door (sometimes as far away from the truckstop) as possible, Don't drink soda, Don't eat fried foods and mostly...I just look around me at truckstops to stay motivated not to look or smell like the dregs of society that seem to gravitate to this industry these days!

I've been on a weight loss program that consists of meal supplements and one low carb meal a day. Also I use a pair of dumbells..(no not other drivers the workout dumbells), walk, do a variety of leg exercises in the bunk and when at home I swim. Now....I'm not going to lie the exercise has been the most difficult for me to do because frankly I'm just not a person who likes it at all. Swimming is the only exercise I like.

I just bought one of those shake dumbell things to try and a little pedaler. I'm taking both of them on the truck and we'll see how they work out.

I've lost a total of 80 lbs so far, intend to lose 40 more before having my knee surgery and then possibly lose another 40.
