They had some dude named Joe Self there when I was there that was head of driver retention / human resources.

He seemed like he coked out of his mind and reminded me of Macho Man Randy Savage.

There was some chic named Darla in dispatch that only lied when her mouth moved.

I always hated being routed to the terminal to fuel.

Had 3 different dispatchers. The first two were dudes, and always failed to make appointments, and couldn't put a run in a pair of panty hose, let alone keep a driver running.
The third was a chic, that was kinda hot, but she didn't know anything either, they fired her. They fired lots of people. I think if you could switch on a computer, you were qualified to work in dispatch there.

I used to do never ending shuttle runs from their terminal to Dallas, that paid like $85 and would eat almost 2 days.

Stuff that was 3 or 4 days, even a week late, and dispatch would lie, and I'd get there, no appointment, receiver would work me in sometime in the next 36 hours.

They lie a lot there, pretty much about everything.

The best part was Kay in safety. She was an attractive woman with these HUGE knockers.

But outside of Kay, the place just kinda sucks.

SRT has a dark reputation ... they may have to resort to topless recruiters!

Their dispatch / planners are just so awful.
They charge customers TOP digits too, and pay pennies.

Its a two fold issue ...

Journalist are reporting that potential applicants are
rapidly waking up to the reality of what the trucking
world offers and thats why the industry is collapsing
into a black hole . ... its not a fruitful line of work .
Almost every driver i talk to has little to show for
their years out here . No future in this business .

SRT along with having one of the worst track records in history
as far as how they have treated drivers and their families
... in the end is just one of many

I doubt there is even one informed journalist reporting on truckers in the entire United States.
An interview at the head quarters of a mega carrier isn't what I'd deem true information.
