I figure it's laziness on the companies part, and they get so desperate to fill seats that they don't think about checking out the driver first. Then when the company screws up, they do this cruel stuff to save face.

See your point.... but if a company consider a driver to be HONEST, and finds out the opposite...why is it they company fault?

 

Why should an employer be at fault and have to pay for an employee falsifying/lying?????

 

The lie itself isn't the companies fault...I will agree with that. Where the compaby is wrong is bringing a virtual stranger to your property, without knowing anything about him, leading him on to think he's going to go to work, and then you drop the bomb on him. They wasted his time, and their own money. How can you waste time and money going one way and not the other? These companies are multi million dollar outfits. They have to be more efficient and smarter than this.

 

One of these days, the company is going to do this to the wrong person, who may be desperate, and that person may just be psycho enough to hurt or kill somebody out of revenge.

FYI.... My company did all background before I was excepted.... maybe they got burned too many times by liars?????

 

You're doing your best to be contrary here.....kind of amusing but I'll play along. The psycho person isn't the company's fault. Only the end result in my post is. Simply put, you don't waste people's time. We are all truckers, and you know as well as I do, that time is the most valuable thing to a trucker, or anybody for that matter.
