Contrary?.... I think a Man/Woman should be held responsible for their actions..... what happened to personal responsibility? Would you PAY out of your own pocket to send a liar home????

 

Of course honesty is the best policy in most cases. We don't even know if the OP, or should I say son of the OP, lied. We don't know why he was rejected. If it was a screw up on the app, thats on the company. How do you have all these assets and money and you don't catch it in advance? Regardless of what happened, unless he pissed dirty, it's a bad way to treat people. I guarantee you wouldn't want it done to you.

 

If I brought him there, and I fouled up and didn't vet the liar, then yes. I don't disagree with you on people being held accountable, but why are you not holding the company accountable for bringing in a stranger? To me they're the bigger fool. They let someone on their property they know nothing about, spent money on a stranger, then hang him out to dry to soften the financial blow of them not doing their due diligence. Come on now.

We are all stranger to a company..... til we prove ourselves...... I'm not saying Vetting an employee "after the fact" is good or bad..... but I don't have sympathy for liars...............

 

So do you lie on apps??? if you were caught, would you expect the company you lied to to pay to send you home?

 

Bro, congratulations. I am glad you were honest on app. I'm sure you've told a lie in your life. We all have. I am not saying that a driver shouldn't be held accountable for screw ups. I've got a checkered past my self. I own it. What I'm saying is that so many things can be avoided from jump. True a driver should be honest. In this case, the driver should have never even made it to orientation. Companies have to verify everything, so why not do this before you invite someone to orientation?

Vetting an employee after the fact is stupid. Nobody likes habitual liars, but don't get self righteous. You have lied. I have lied. Everyone has lied. Everyone will probably tell a lie or more before they die. Truth be told, sometimes people have to cheat or lie to get ahead in this crazy society. How many people tell lies on this forum?
