I shouldn't gripe....I have everything I need.

But this delay is edging closer to screwing me out of tomorrow's load. Aw, well. Nature of the job.....

Spent about 6 years in Salinas/Monterey area. 12 years in Santa Cruz area. and the first 35 or so years in the San Jose area.

Should I include picking and eating Berries from Grandma's garden in Coralitos as a youngster in the patrol years?

 

That's the spot where I am. Got a bowl of mashed and gravy. Had a ramen noodles cup of soup last night and didn't have anything else for 20 - 24 hours, so I stopped at the Garlic Farm and wolfed down two Supreme Croissants from Jack in the Crack right before I got here. I was too full for anything else.

The " AGAIN " is what the waitress said right ? ...... Glad it's not just me they say that too. ..... I suppose that I shouldn't mention that I only get there about once every few decades. ..... I guess I've got a memorable face. They probably don't see Truck driving Moose's all that often up there in that backwater.

Company reserved a room at this hotel nearby for me...

Company is paying for that... and layover too... truck is at Freightliner in the meantime... may be ready on Wednesday... Company asked me if I would like to use one of their newer trucks here to run while my truck is in the shop... but I said... "Nahhhh...."
