Intermodal ports and rail yards

Yeah that whole gig is a joke!!! It's like they're in the Stone Age and have never heard of the fmcsa!!!
The companies,investors,union workers could care less if you get a violation,some other shmuck wanting to be home with their family will be next in line to "tote the note"!!!!

 

It is a joke. However -the money is OK and can be great at times if you have good days. It really depends... luck of the irish so to speak.. Lol. 90% of our drivers run the intermodal gig. Had one of our drivers pulled into the scale. No violations to the motor carrier... clean inspection and passed but wow! About 7 violations on the darn chassis and he was put of out of service until I had to call the service for him. It really does suck. You MUST have patience and know the consequences of running the intermodal gig. If you plan to get in there without knowing... you will not last.

 

How do you get loads at rail yards im looking into getting into local routes in austell ga. I work in the oilfield and im tired of being away from home for 2 months. I have my own truck and i would like more info on hauling for rail yards.
