Easy to say from the side line, but it all happened so fast, I don't have a regular doctor, I NEVER go to a doctor, exception being a dentist. All my medical stuff happened through an emergency room and I didn't even see the doctor after it was all over. Just a nurse handed me scripts, I turned the scripts into the pharmacy. Until recently, this wasn't an issue so I never thought of it. This is a brand new ruling, just this year. Before this, opioids weren't tested for at all. I'm sure with some footwork, I could get the proper paperwork, but I'm of the opinion that hair follicle testing is WAY TOO INTRUSIVE anyways. I have smoked marijuana years ago, and quit it ever since I became a trucker. So, hair follicle testing says nothing about a person's ability to drive truck, period. Here at schneider I was hair tested and passed but this recent ER visit, just 3 weeks ago, poisoned my hair. I guess I'll worry about it if I decide to jump ship.

When I drove for CRE as a new driver I had a tooth go bad.
Now I have third degree burns, and I've broken my back, and this abscessed tooth was by far the worst pain I've ever been in, in my life.
Stopped at a dentist leaving SoCal. She could do nothing but pull the tooth or do a root canal where I'd feel everything.
Neither of those were gonna happen.
So she offers me some pain killers and antibiotics.
Refused the pain killers took the antibiotics.
Went over Vail. If I'd had a gun, I'd have shot myself.
Suffered unbelievable for 12 hours in Denver.
When I got to the Iowa 80 it looked just like I had an egg in my lower cheek. Pain was gone.
Got it root canalled in Slidell.
Everyone in trucking knows the deal with any kind of drugs. I find it hard to believe Schneider omitted that in their training or orientation. -

Will Landstar request your license, med card, long form, and dd214 before you're actually accepted? I was worried they wouldn't accept me because of my experience, the recruiter said they most likely would but couldn't be 100% sure. Iv got almost 5 years but it was all local and regional, IV been in contact with the leasing people but never got a sure answer, I never really asked either though. Anyways they requested all my info so is it safe to say I'm in? My records clean, I have verifiable experience in snow and east cost runs, and i already own my truck and it's paid off . I just wouldn't think they would request all that if I wasn't.
