No way was I reading all of this... Next time, drop the trailer and let the switcher put it in if you cannot do it. Worse case, flip him a $20 and point to the door if you cannot speak Mexican.

Put your Autistic "trainer" into a choke hold until he passes out and then blindside in. Just don't hesitate to GOAL, don't just close your eyes and hope for the best. Take it easy and get out as much as you need to. If it dosn't feel right then it probably isn't, get out and check, it's faster than plowing into something.

I suggested this but I think it went over the heads of many here.

It's any backing maneuvers that result in not seeing your left trailer tandems. This definition also allows for certain straight backs to be considered blindside.

Jesus all of these company policies they spew out. OP, have you farted in the driver's seat at any point? If it was loud and stinky, you may get a Qualcomm message.

They routed you to the yard on Monday? That potentially could be a bad thing. Regardless of policies, if a company even gets the slightest inkling that you could cost them too much money, they may tell you to clean out the truck. You sat almost an entire day, and threw everything off. The yard would be the last place I'd want to go to after this debacle

They got me a new load with a standard pickup, the load I could not pickup is now setup for a driver not in CRE equipment.

but so many are in this industry cuz they always wanted to drive, or like driving, or can drive mom's mini van all around town.

no one has any idea on how this industry is, until they actually get that CDL and go to orientation, then start driving solo.

some are way too coddled as kids, then into early adulthood. some get (or got) everything they ever asked for from mommy and daddy, and simply cannot cope with being away from home, in a truck stop toilet stall, with very little toilet paper left on the roll.

some cannot take the pricings of expensive things needed on a daily basis like, food, soft drinks, and candy. they don't have it as "easy as they did" at home with mommy and daddy, and start to feel that they are of no value, cuz mommy and daddy are not there to coddle them like at home.

this is the way of the American millennial family now, not accepting responsibility for one's actions, and abilities, and blaming everyone else for thier failures in life.

and yet, the debate to lower the age to obtaining a CDL trudges on...Dear God Almighty....

that's all we will ever have, cry babies.
