You have the 770 version? How do you like it?

    Yes...
My customers are mostly set. I don’t do a lot of searching for places. If I did, I’d probably have both. Plus use Google maps and an Atlas.

Like I said, I love it. But it ain’t perfect.
Kinda fun to see its reactions in the Vegas construction. Or “4 wheelin” on 58 west of Barstow ( construction).

if you are talking about the suction cup mount, put a small dab of clear silicone on the suction cup before sticking it to the window. Make sure the window is clean where your will stick it. We use this trick when mounting emergency lighting in POV's. This method will allow it to stay put year round.

My money-saving tip is buy a 5 inch GPS. It will save about $100 - 150. The important info is the same and the larger size doesn't add much. You can see road names, turn left/right, etc fine on a 5 inch model. They both speak to you.

Ignore TomTom. It's a car GPS company trying to expand to commercial vehicles.

Garmin is the expert in GPS and does their best to be good with maps & routes for commercial vehicles.

RM is the experts in mapping & does their best with GPS.

Garmin or RM are perfectly fine. You will have to learn their way of using their box. You will like some things and not others, regardless of which you pick. I've used my RM740 for a year. I'm used to its quirks. I almost bought the Garmin 770. I would have been happy with it. Flip a coin, they are both good.
