I work for Glenncoe, they are a great family to work for. It was unfortunate that Bison was able to buy then in 2007. Since then it's been downhill. Bison only thinks of the bottom line, not the employee, It was Bison that pulled the plug.
I'm in Thunder Bay, On and was speaking with a Bison driver last night who told me about this. According to him, all of their drivers are doing a lot less than they had been. The driver specifically told me that the run he was doing was the first run he's had in two weeks.
Reality is, this is just another in your face example of where the trucking industry is today. The large companies gobble up the smaller ones then discard the carcasses when they've outlived their usefullness. They kept the local trucking company name alive as long as it was worth something. Times get tough, they close it first.
