Our shop is hurting. We are 6 techs down at the moment.

I have not seen anyone saying it was going great. But it is not the dismal picture that ex-driver keeps saying.

I’m finding that starting earlier in the day is helping my pay. Seems like they didn’t have anything left to dispatch after about 7pm. Starting my day at 7am (or 6am) is keeping me hopping for the whole 14hr shift.

If you don't mind grocery loads, back it up to 5am...plenty there...

Update; they announced this last week they are bringing back 5/5 runs, more assigned trucks and more 6/3 runs as well as trying to jump seat extra drivers so much...Jeff actually sounded happy for a change in making the announcement. Noticed Smith did not make any announcements...lol

Anyone know what a "Modified" 5/5 is supposed to be? Also, is there much differece money wise between a 6/3, and a 5/2-5/3?

"Each driver will be required to work 2 extra days per month. Extra days will be scheduled at least 30 days in advance. Drivers may use pto for extra work days if theres time off available."

As far as pay, with a 6/3, you can max 11 days in a pay period but you will have weeks where your pay is low. With a 5/2 5/3 you wont see as much fluctuations but over the course of a year, its going to come down to your adp. Either program will pay roughly the same over a year. If you want the most pay, work a 5/2 every week and you can even extend just about every week if you have nothing better to do.

On a 5/2, extending into day six really can boost your ADP. Anything you earn on day six is added into your total, then averaged over five days instead of six.
