Dedicated class E route unloading trucks at my hometown walmart.

30m drive shift with 10h unloading may require night driving of a Ford Fusion.

Overtime, 401k, medical and dental. And permissions to park in any walmart, Chipotle, or any other rammed ###### spot.

Three pay increases a year and 100% prepass on all scales.

It has been fun, had I not tried i would have regretted it on my deathbed.

You are all amazing, those of you who can do this job safely and without stress. I am no superhero but you truly are.

I will keep my CDL active in case the grass isn't as green as advertised.

Love you all, you've helped me throughout this three month long adventure.

Little better than that but not being OTR has perks too.

    50H a week guarantee.

    40 * 14 = 560
    10 * 21 = 210

    50 weeks a year about 38,500

It's not just jobs like that. About 15 years ago I considered getting off the road and going local. At that time they were paying $20 an hour. I said $800 a week. No thanks cant afford the pay cut (kids in college at that time) 3 years ago I said ok it' time to get off the road. Went back to same companies. Guess what they are now paying $18 an hour and NO overtime. When I questioned the boss about it. He said "we dont have to pay more. All you old timers are trying to get off the road. I have A list a mile long of good qualified drivers. Do you want me to add you to the list?" Needless to say I told him bless your heart have a nice day.

I wouldn’t be bragging about your pay. It’s individuals like yourself that has this industry the way it is.
I could just picture you at a family function or with friends and you be bragging about your pay......... they all would laughing inside themselves.
All I can say is “WOW”...... so embarrassing.... shame on you.....

Was that a lumper type job at Walmart?
If you want to drive and not the 18 wheelers, try cargo vans and box trucks.
I you don't want to drive, look a trade schools and learn to be a refrigerated trailer mechanic.
