can anyone recommend a car hauling or CDL school in the northern New Jersey area? We would be driving a dually with 3 car if that matters.

If your talking about car hauling for yourself ... That's another subject that
Does not take much more to learn. . -

You should start with a single axle tractor. You will get less hassling from the DOT. Hire someone who has a CDL A. And have him teach you

I second the single axle tractor instead of the dually. It will cost you less to buy a good used single axle tractor than a comparable dually, and it will last two or three times longer. That dually will be worn out in a year. DOT loves to crucify dually s pulling car trailers ,especially in NY State. They pick on them because they see them as an easy target to write tickets. I was actually told that by a DOT cop,and also see them getting inspected a lot especially on rte 84.
There is a auto haulers institute in Florida. I don't know anything about them, but it might be worth looking into.Last edited: Aug 12, 2018
