can anyone recommend a car hauling or CDL school in the northern New Jersey area? We would be driving a dually with 3 car if that matters.

Are you needing your CDL. . Is that correct?? ?
If your talking about car hauling for yourself ... That's another subject that
Does not take much more to learn. .

want someone in my company to formally learn the ins and outs of the rules. Because of this i wanted my partner to take the cdl class. Bc he isn’t driving, the goal isn’t to get the cdl. The goal is to learn as much as possible about driving so we can teach to our drivers. We will be doing car hauling.

You should start with a single axle tractor. You will get less hassling from the DOT. Hire someone who has a CDL A. And have him teach you

Whoops, i didn’t notice an alert that you posted. I’m in the Bergen county area. So far i think I’m going with “jersey tractor trailer training”

I second the single axle tractor instead of the dually. It will cost you less to buy a good used single axle tractor than a comparable dually, and it will last two or three times longer. That dually will be worn out in a year. DOT loves to crucify dually s pulling car trailers ,especially in NY State. They pick on them because they see them as an easy target to write tickets. I was actually told that by a DOT cop,and also see them getting inspected a lot especially on rte 84.

There is a auto haulers institute in Florida. I don't know anything about them, but it might be worth looking into.
