It is still in the regs for 395.8 2(10)
    (10) Recording days off duty. Two or more consecutive 24-hour periods off duty may be recorded on one duty status record.

eCFR — Code of Federal Regulations

Officer is in the wrong. Have a supervisor come out now. He may lift OOS order. Tell your driver do not move though until an LEO has approved it.

He isn’t moving. And he only 3 miles from his drop. He was going to unload and be able to get reloaded but not now.

He may be wrong on the OOS order but careful what you wish for. He could have easily given him a hefty fine for being on a truck restricted street. That could equate to several thousand dollars in fines.

Being hard is some jack stick that gives you a written warning for like a marker light.

Being put out of service for a bad log, when you have a legal log, can't be a legal act.

And it has to come with a citation.

If your driver has a legal book, you get on the phone to Trooper Jacksticks boss, and ask wtf is going on.

I would still call for a supervisor and have the reg pulled up.

May not work, but it may get him moving. Regardless I the DATA Q include that regulation. An OOS on a small company kills CSA ranking.

Get him to email his log to you and post it.
As he gave it to the trooper.

I'm thinking something probably wasn't right with his log book.

I just text and told him if he wasn’t asleep send me a pic and I will post it. I’m thinking something may be wrong with it also.

Hmmm... sounds like there might be something your driver isn't telling you. That is the simplest of rules and I would imagine every Trooper knows you can log multiple off duty days on one sheet.
