TriPac problems

    Got freon checked Sunday.

    No leaks, had KW dealership pull freon out, had 2.9 pounds, which was way too much I had put some men trying to stop it from shutting off intermediately. They checked for leaks found none.

    Refilled with 1.9 ibs and unit ran fine until last night shut off twice, then today at 10:46 am did it again.

    Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Take it to Thermo King dealership in your area, not Kenworth. It's only common sense! I had our shop waste hours on my tripac evolution and they couldn't figure it out. Charged me $200 for nothing. Took it to Thermo King and got it done whithin an hour and $150 bill. Simple wire rubbing was happening.

    Prior to going to the KW dealership I had paid out$200 to 1 Thermo King dealership for them to tell me nothing was wrong.

    Another dealership charged me over $600 to change the fan on it still did not fix it.

    So I am kind of leery of the Thermo King people even though it is a Thermo King unit.

    I think it depends how good the dealer is. Sometimes they know what they're doing and other times they're guessing and just throwing parts at it. Try another location from Thermo King.
