I agree. The job aint that bad. I enjoyed roll-off. The pay is pretty good & the benefits are excellent..... if you can stay there long enough to get paid. WM is without a doubt, the worst company I have ever worked for.

This is also true. Managers & safety guys come & go on a yearly basis. If a GM stays 2 years, he's lucky or kisses a lot of ###.... & is hated by everyone.
A few months is about an average stay at any WM facility for mgt. But in all honesty, they move them to another facility. They seldom get fired, just moved from AZ to PA...... Idaho to FL... etc.
The safety guys get fired... end of story. Something happens & someone gets seriously hurt, they hire a safety guy & get tough. After a few months, when he starts enforcing rules mgt doesn't want enforced, the safety guy is history until someone else gets seriously hurt & the revolving door starts moving again.

    You don't know the pay?

Let's worry about getting the job first of all. More than likely you will be nursing a trash truck that is LOADED up a goat path hanging on the side of a landfill towards the top. I don't particularly like getting a 18 wheeler up those kinds of hills twice. It gets to where how much you lean will decide if you will keep your wheels on the ground or not.

You more than likely will have a route. One of the things you will be checking is for people as you unload the dumpsters and what not. You do not want people to end up inside your truck.

It is good work. But you will take a little time to learn it well and get used to it. Provided you keep an eye for people at every pickup.

Completed the On-Demand Voice Interview after submit the application on their website for Tractor-Trailer Driver position at Waste Management, Madison WI; it took me (the call) 25min answering their pre-recorded questions (General Experience, manual transmission Experience, kind of freight and trailers hauled before, how to complete a work shift in a safe manner {forgot told put the seatbelt on}, salary expectation for the position, and safety violations issued or if been ever fired by those issues). I’ll post next experience here for further decisions takers.

P.S-If anyone driving with them can give me advice. Thanks in advance

They hire to fire from what I hear.

I worked with a few guys from there when I drove mixers. They all hated it and had nothing good to say. They all got fired and they weren’t bad drivers at all, always on time, always showed up to work, never tore up trucks.

I have no idea why they got fired from waste.

They call me twice after interview, at that point just had insights from some pissed drivers or drivers who know drivers working there......pissed too, I just declined don’t even went into negotiations, the home time was the hook to me plus the idea that garbage never have slow seasons, but just declined. ESTES is working for me now. Thanks @Fold_Moiler
