Cheap 2012/13/14 international prostars. good or bad?

    A 1.60 a mile gross? You may as well be a company driver. Less headaches, especially when you need tires and or a major repair. Emission issues can run into the tens of thousands of dollars.

    Why what do owner Ops get at other companies? I hear Landstar pays at least $2 a mile but it's hard to get in.

    Emission trucks are bad.

    Go to Mercer or Schneider or Interstate.

    Pittsburgh Power has put a Dorthry on one Maxforce , catching most of the soot SHOULD stop lots of the emissions issues? Pair it with the foaming EGR cleaning , you will add about 3k to it , but time will tell if it will be a fix.
    Have been thinking myself . Saw a 2012 with 303k on her for 17,900. Do those two things , do regular maintenance, and drive it till it stops. If you get two years out of it , look at how much you saved ?

    Who do you want to lease on to? MaxForce suck anyway. You should be able to have 10 k a month afera fuel and insurance. Other wise its a bad gig. No truck payment .

    There were a whole lot of lawsuits filed over those motors in 2013 and 2014. You can buy them for scrap value but unless you change the motor out, you really won't have much.
